Gidgee Lures have been individually tuned and tank tested for optimum performance and are ready for immediate use.
The Body of the lure is crafted from red cedar, white beech or Jelutong as a result the varying timbers differ in density and may cause some lures to float or sink. You are able to tune the buoyancy by using slightly heavier or lighter rings and hooks, only fine adjustments will need to be made.
Remember that the salinity of water affects all lures ability to float. As each lure is individually crafted some variation may occur in the shape of the body.
Gidgee Lures have been individually painted by hand, first by dipping and then the finish is applied with an air brush or spray gun. As a result some variation may occur in the application of the paint. This is a natural by-product of the process and gives each lure unique characteristics.
